The latest new in is a chandelier Blanka Matragi designed for her new Prague boutique. The chandelier is inspired by draperies of her dresses’ skirts. It is put in a niche that stresses its simple and sophisticated design. There is also a collection of vases and bowls that are based on the chandelier design. You can see and order these in the Prague boutique.
Pity that orchid flower beauty is so fleeting, isn’t it? Since now on, never mind – Blanka Matragi captured its beauty in this chandelier. Every piece is composed of different number of different sized flowers. The exact number depends on the client’s requirements for amount of light in the room.
You can capture colours and shapes of butterflies’ wings in many possible ways. Blanka decided to replace silk chiffon with crystal this time so she created a chandelier. The crystal wings are attached to the metal body in a shape of a lantern or a cone. The designer also created a collection of vases, bowls and candlesticks using wings motif again to multiply the effect of the extraordinary design.
Blanka Matragi made this big chandelier inspired by a tropical flower on the occasion of her 25th Anniversary exhibition in the Municipal house in Prague. The colourful crystal butterflies flying out of the “flower” are also sold separately as a part of Matragi’s HOME collection.
